In response to this new breed of consumer, (who holds no degree in Interior Design, just sheer interior passion) the Plantation Rug Company has launched ‘Bespoke Plantation’ - a service where you choose the exact colour and specific size of your rug. So there’s no excuse for clashes of colour and slightly-too-small rugs.

John Clark, the founder of Plantation Rug Company explained what the inspiration was: “More and more consumers are becoming interested in Interior Design as a hobby and TV programmes such as 60 Minute Makeover and Cowboy Builders are fuelling this trend. I wanted to capture this trend and allow consumesr to design their own rugs in any colour they choose and any size”.

The service is simple. You take your colour inspiration into any independent carpet retailer – this can be anything from a Dairy Milk wrapper to a piece of Wallpaper to a cashmere jumper, give the retailer the colour inspiration and the size specifications you require and the retailer will do the rest!
